MARONITE ACADEMY

WHAT IS THE MARONITE ACADEMY?

The Maronite Academy is an initiative, undertaken by the Maronite Foundation, aimed at introducing young Lebanese immigrants around the world to their country of origin, Lebanon.

Selected candidates benefit from an organized two weeks trip to Lebanon, ALL EXPENSES COVERED by the Maronite Foundation in The World.

During their stay in Lebanon, the candidates will get to bond with their roots and explore the history of Lebanon and the Maronite Heritage through specialized seminars given by prominent figures and various site visits

This August 2017, and for the 5th consecutive year, the Maronite Academy will gather Lebanese youth from all around the world on Lebanese soil!

Selected candidates (between the ages of 20 and 30, of Lebanese descent, living abroad) will undergo online sessions (e-learning sessions) to build their knowledge about Lebanon and the Maronite Heritage.

After successfully completing their online courses, the candidates will benefit from an organized two-week trip to Lebanon (from August 5 till August 20, 2017) all expenses covered by the Maronite Foundation.

GOAL OF THE MARONITE ACADEMY

The Goals of The Maronite Academy are

  • To reconnect the ties between the Christians in Lebanon and their fellow Christian di
  • asporas across the globe.
  • To strengthen the Christian heritage and legal citizenship affiliation to the land of cedars.
  • To promote Lebanon as the spiritual motherland of Lebanese Christians worldwide.

HOW TO REGISTER FOR THE MARONITE ACADEMY

Candidates will need to register themselves before the end of December 2016

INVOLVEMENT WITH THE FOUNDATION ACTIVITIES

Selected candidates will have to actively participate in the office activities related to promoting awareness on the importance and necessity on claiming the Lebanese nationality.

  • Selected candidates will assist the foundation office and provide her with contacts of Lebanese families residing in Canada who would want to register themselves, their marriages, and the births of their children.
  • Selected candidates will learn about the registration process; the different Lebanese identity forms, the documents needed, and the completion of an application.
